TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you commit.
